Evergreen continues its growth through the acquisition of Plow & Hearth, a multichannel retailer with Virginia roots, as well as SC Sports, ReUseIt.com, Bambeco and VivaTerra. Evergreen Canada is established to give Evergreen its first international direct sales force. The company launches a retail web site to sell directly to consumers.
The company introduces an all-inclusive web site to give wholesale customers access to thousands of items that can be ordered online 24/7. Dedicated home and garden showrooms open in Las Vegas and Atlanta. Evergreen expands to sell products in Canada, Ireland, and the United Kingdom.
Working with local artists and the city of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Evergreen assists in the design and creation of a massive King Neptune statue that’s displayed on the Virginia Beach boardwalk, commemorating the long-running Neptune Festival. It’s the largest bronze statue built since the Statue of Liberty!
Evergreen Enterprises doubles its staff and cultivates more relationships with manufacturing facilities abroad to accommodate customer demand, including establishing a new logistics facility in China and breaking ground for a new warehouse storage facility in Richmond, Virginia.
The business quickly expands with more product offerings and several milestones achieved, including breaking the $1 million mark in sales, its first catalog, first warehouse, and improvements to product design, inventory, importing, and distribution.
